FAQs
What is Critically Curated and what is your Goal?
I want to share my genuine love for gaming by highlighting titles that brought me real enjoyment - that's why you won't see numbered scores or star ratings here. My recommendations come from a place of pure enthusiasm rather than critical nitpicking.
When I suggest a game, it means:
• I personally had a memorable experience with it
• The gameplay loop kept me engaged naturally
• There's something special about it worth experiencing
• I believe others might find the same joy I did
This isn't about technical perfection or meeting some objective standard - it's about celebrating games that create those "can't wait to play more" feelings. Whether it's an AAA blockbuster or a tiny indie project, if it gave me that spark, I'll share it with you.
Think of me as your gaming friend who's always excited to say: "Hey, you've got to try this one!" rather than a critic assigning arbitrary grades. At the end of the day, I just want to help you find your next great gaming experience.
What makes Critically Curated different?
I’m less of a critic, and more of a curator. I’m not here to tell you what’s "objectively good." I’m here to share games that left a mark on me—the ones I still think about weeks later. No scores, no nitpicking flaws, just heartfelt recommendations from one player to another. If I suggest something, it’s because I genuinely believe your time with it will be well spent.
How do you choose games to feature?
I only recommend games I’ve played thoroughly and would enthusiastically suggest to a close friend. My rule is simple: If I wouldn’t insist you play it, it doesn’t make the cut. I ignore hype, trends, and algorithms—what matters is whether a game delivers something meaningful.
How frequent will you be publishing?
I share new game suggestions as often as I can, but this will always remain a passion project rather than a forced schedule. You'll never see me:
✖️ Churning out content just to meet an arbitrary deadline
✖️ Recommending games I haven't properly experienced
✖️ Sacrificing quality for quantity
This is my gaming hobby first - a way to share genuine excitement about titles that truly capture my attention. Some weeks that might mean multiple posts if I'm discovering great games, other times it might be quieter while I properly play through something.
The rhythm will always follow:
• My actual playtime and discoveries
• When I find something worth shouting about
• Whenever that "you HAVE to try this" feeling hits me
I'd rather share one authentic recommendation per month than ten rushed ones. When you see a post from me, you'll know it comes from real enjoyment, not an obligation.
Will you be posting videos on youtube?
Right now, I’m focusing on sharing genuine game recommendations through written posts/social media/podcasts. I’ve got scripts ready for video essays and curated lists, but I’m still getting comfortable with the editing process – I want to make sure when I do dive into videos, they meet the same quality bar as my other content.
Can I suggest a game for you to check out?
Absolutely! I love hearing about games that moved others. Email me at [criticallycuratedemail@gmail.com] or DM me on [Instagram, @critically.curated]. If it resonates with me, I’ll gladly play it and share my thoughts.
